On Saturday June 15, 2024, I will be participating in the Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial Event: A Race to Cure ALS. This event raises money for the Angel Fund for ALS Research. ALS is a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative illness that attacks motor neurons.
I have been running this 5k for the last 7 years as a means of maintaining fitness and raising money for a cause. This year I will be running this 5k, along with friends and colleagues, for a deeper meaning. I will be running in honor of our friend, Alana, who was recently diagnosed with ALS.
Every dollar raised will be directed to UMass Chan Medical Center where Dr. Robert Brown and his colleagues are doing groundbreaking research toward a cure for this devastating disease. All donations are tax deductible and company matching contributions are highly appreciated.
